Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral - Crypt Access Link
The Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral now benefits from improved access to the Crypt area in the lower level of the Cathedral. The Crypt originally designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens was difficult for the public to gain access to. Architect Nightingale Associates have designed a link facility that now allows easy access to this superb area of the Cathedral. The Civic Trust felt it worthy of a mention in their 2009 awards. Davies Partnership are delighted to have been chosen to design the mechanical and electrical services for the project.

Carden Park Golf Shop tees off
Davies Partnership have recently completed a major refurbishment project at the Carden Park Hotel Golf Shop. The high profile hotel which nestles in the beautiful Cheshire countryside is renown for its two terrific golf courses. This latest investment enhances the experience of players and visitors providing an excellent all round experience.

Environmental Design Team
Davies Partnership has undertaken a number of key projects where a requirement for a high score relating to BREEAM was required by the client. Our environmental design team work with the latest thermal modelling software, and can produce building models to support BREEAM criteria. We can also offer the facility of daylight factor calculations, and because of our experience to date we can readily contribute to the process of achieving accreditation.

Davies Partnership enhances client support
Davies FM the facilities Management consultancy division, are now able to offer an greater level of support to clients thanks to the installation of the Agility Facility management database. Clients can benefit from the tracking and budget controls the system offers, plus asset management and comprehensive suite of reporting tools. The system will also enable the division to bolt on additional tools and offer clients direct access over a secure internet connection.

Team Develops its learning on Environmental Design
Two members of the Environmental Team have now passed the CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant Design examination so are now registered on both the Low Carbon Consultant Design and Simulation Registers. Members of the Low Carbon Consultants Register are a body of professionals competent to minimize energy use and carbon emissions from buildings. They are able to go beyond the current legal minima in improving the energy performance of both new and existing buildings. Clients can be sure that buildings designed by Low Carbon Consultants will meet the requirements of Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) and Building Control Officers can be assured that compliance is being signed off by suitably qualified professionals. Members of the Register have undertaken examinations to demonstrate their competence.

Team Develops its learning on Environmental Design
Two members of the team have recently completed and passed the IES VE accreditation (Simulation & SBEM) together with the EPC exams. This means they are now on the Low Carbon Consultant Simulation register. Additionally they have completed the Low Carbon Consultant Design course and examination and are now awaiting the results, a pass would enable them to be registered as CIBSE Energy Assessors. This reflects the desire for Davies Partnership to be at the leading edge of environmental building design and technology, and of course support all the members of our design team to continue their personal growth and education plans.
